Vivek Bansal, MD, MPH

Vivek Bansal, MD, is a triple board-certified endocrinologist and founder of Enlyv Clinic in Bridgewater Township and Edison, New Jersey. He offers expert care to his endocrinology, weight loss, and laser hair removal patients and oversees all treatments. 

Dr. Bansal grew up in Rishikesh, a city in the Himalayan foothills beside the Ganges River in India. Early in his childhood, he learned about purposeful eating and holistic living. This led him to a career in medicine. 

Dr. Bansal received his Doctor of Medicine from Baba Raghav Das (BRD) Medical College in Gorakhpur, India, graduating with honors. Following graduation, he moved to the United States to complete his residency at Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey. He followed this with another residency in internal medicine at Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth, New Jersey. He completed his subspecialty fellowship training in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. 

During his fellowship, Dr. Bansal lost his father to congestive heart failure. Understanding the role that obesity played in his father’s death, he considers this realization the turning point in which he decided to be an American doctor board-certified in endocrinology, diabetes, metabolism, and obesity medicine. 

With years of training and experience, Dr. Bansal worked as Director of Medical Weight Loss for Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, New Jersey. He found fulfillment when his patients achieved long-lasting results. 

Dr. Bansal is passionate about helping those who struggle with excess weight and finds that medical and non-medical tools are helpful. He is an avid yoga practitioner and a vegetarian and believes in forming a healthy relationship with food.

Dr. Bansal is board-certified in obesity medicine by the American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM). He is a member of the Obesity Medicine Association (OMA), American Medical Association (AMA), American College of Physicians (ACP), and American Association of Endocrinology (AACE).
